Vote with your fork
You may not be sure if Diebold counted your ballot, but you can be darn sure that every morsel that passes your lips is tracked with barcode data. You vote every time you lift your fork.

What should you vote for? We like the suggestions at sites like Sustainable Table, Eat Well Guide, Local Harvest, and Daily Granola. The words to remember are: locally-grown, seasonal, and organic.

Find a way to connect with farmers in your area - via CSAs, U-pick opportunities, or farmers markets. By building relationships locally, you can strengthen your community economically, learn more about your food, and turn eating into something you experience with all five senses.
